The Neti pot is a small container with a long spout used to rinse the nasal cavities typically with a saline solution as a form of alternative therapy for upper respiratory ailments. This process of Jala Neti(Nasal rinsing with the Neti pot) has been a part of Ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years and provides a natural way to clear nasal passages and to relieve nasal congestion and allergies.

BENEFITS OF JALA NETI:
KEY FEATURES OF OUR NETI POT :
HOW TO PERFORM JALA NETI :
Mix 1/2 tablespoon(2.5 gms) of Non-iodised salt( preferably finely ground Himalayan Salt) to like warm water in the 185ml Neti pot and mix well. For the 100ml pot, use 1/4 tablespoon(1.25gms) and mix well.
For using the neti pot, tilt your head sideways and place the spout of the neti pot in the upper nostril. Breathe through your mouth while performing Jala Neti and pour the saline solution into your upper nostril so that the liquid drains through the lower nostril. Repeat on the other side.
HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD YOU DO JALA NETI?
Traditionally, Jala Neti has been a part of Ayurveda’s daily morning ritual. You could do it everyday or 3-4 times a week depending on your schedule.
You could also do it more than once a day if you are facing throat or nasal congestion or sinusitis.
JAL NETI PRECAUTIONS :
People with high blood pressure should consult a doctor or general physician before starting Jal Neti.
Be sure to blow out your nose after the process and rid the nasal passages of any saline solution as it may cause infection if not dried out properly.
We recommend you to seek the guidance of an expert practitioner if you’re doing it for the first time (as with any yogic practice).
